AUSRIVAS Protocol - Chemical & Physical Assessment
- The Australian River Assessment System (AUSRIVAS) is a nationally standardised approach to biological assessment of stream condition using macroinvertebrates. It was developed under the auspices of the National River Health Program (NRHP).
- This section of the site provides extensive information on physical and chemical assessment methods and detailed instructions on the measurement of each AUSRIVAS variable.
Sydney
Sydney airport have co-funded a Natural Heritage Trust supported project intended to develop Internet based environmental information integration and management systems. This will assist in developing an overall perspective on the demands and uses for environmental resources within Australia's most populated and developed region. The following resources will be of interest to all those seeking information on the Botany Bay System
- Interim Southern Sydney Regional Strategic Plan
- Turning the Tide
- The Botany Basin; Its Bedrock Topography And Recent Geological History

- The Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments will invest $1.4 billion over the period to 2007-08.
- 21 priority regions will develop comprehensive Regional Natural Resource Management plans which will focus on developing regional solutions for regional problems, and play a valuable role in contributing to the overall national objectives of combating salinity and improving water quality.
Council of Australian Governments Communique - Water Reform Agenda
- The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed that there is a pressing need to refresh its 1994 water reform agenda to increase the productivity and efficiency of water use, sustain rural and urban communities, and to ensure the health of river and groundwater system. (August 2003)

Data Management & Reporting
Online data reporting and management facilities to assist in managing environmental information in a co-ordinated manner. These data management facilities will
- Establish a clients (or users) identity
- Obtain and process a list of client submissions and or data input
- Confirm the clients submissions to them
- Email the clients submissions to the client, appropriate system administrators and other interested parties
- Record the clients submissions on an internet database server
